NUTRITION
Growing strawberries requires a very scientific approach. Our nutritional specialists assess and measure fruit quality in regard to colour, firmness and taste on a daily basis to ensure good plant health and top production performance.
PLANT QUALITY
When it comes to producing great strawberries, plant quality is of utmost importance. Did you know; Growers have to replant all their strawberry fields on an annual basis and is therefore a crucial part of their business.
SOIL GROWN
Fertile soil contains an optimal balance of macro and micro-nutrients together with microbial life to ensure bioavailability to the plant. Together with optimal photosynthesis levels results in large, flavoursome, and nutritious berries.

Our Farms
Having fruit growing farms in 6 different micro-climatic locations allows us to produce fruit year-round.
BRANDWAG FARM
At 10m above sea level Brandwag produces high volumes of early fruit during the main export season.
GROENEWEIDE FARM
A cool location, nestled up against the Outeniqua Mountains, producing the finest quality fruit for mid and late production. The micro climate combined with world class infrastructure enables us to produce some of the best strawberry, blueberry, raspberry and blackberry plant material in the world.
WABOOMSKRAAL FARM
Waboomskraal Farm is primarily a strawberry plant nursery. The extremely cold winters and hot summers have enabled PHC to produce exceptional plant material for our local and international growers.
WOODLANDS FARM
Woodlands farm is primarily used to trial our latest varieties. After thorough evaluation these varieties can be offered to our growers.
LANGKLOOF FARM
Located in the lower Langkloof which forms a strategic part of PHC’s quest to produce high volumes of early fruit for local and international retailers.
BERRY FARM (NEW)
Our latest edition in diversifying our strawberry production. We will start to produce blueberries, blackberries and raspberries under cover during our 2024 season.
